Laura is the best piano teacher. After learning piano for many years as an adult student, I felt like my skills had plateaued. Laura has a wonderful, easy to follow teaching style. She provides simple to follow techniques and is a very patient teacher. After working with Laura for just a short time, she helped me to make significant progress with my playing. While working with Laura I have learned so much about music, not just piano. I worry less about making mistakes and have increased my confidence while playing. Laura is a wonderful piano teacher. She is patient, kind, dedicated, and creative. It is obvious that Laura loves teaching piano. My ten year old son has been learning piano for the past several years. Until my son started working with Laura, his progress had been limited. Laura improved my son’s playing once he began lessons with her. She targeted his lessons directly to my son’s skills and his playing began to excel. Laura balances the technical work that a young pianist needs to master with the emotive component of the music, selecting pieces music that really speaks to our daughters sensibilities and enables her to express herself through her playing. Laura began tutoring our children in French several months ago, and even in that sort time they've developed a great ear for the language and a solid vocabulary. She makes the lessons fun and engaging, emphasizing the nuances of pronunciation and intonation and conversational skills, and the children always look forward to seeing her for their next adventure in French!

Enrolling my child in Laura's music discovery classes at the age of 3 was one of the best decisions I've made. Laura has a gift for teaching and sharing her love and knowledge of the piano with students. When we met Laura, my son had been playing the piano for just under two years. Despite having played for a relatively short time, Laura noticed that my son had the ability to play advanced pieces, but lacked the proper technique and practice routines necessary to succeed. Laura created a plan that kept my son engaged yet motivated him to work on technique and practice skills. Laura was completely invested in my son’s success as a musician. She would even answer questions in between lessons and would squeeze in extra lessons when necessary.
